The topic of this piece is apocalypse. And if you're wondering in which way this is related to something like an apocalypse - this is about isolation and loosing the ability for communication.
I decided to go with the comic style because the speech bubble allows me to show something that is clearly missing.
The dots in the background are a different experience dependent on how much distance is between you and the painting. From far away all points look the same and its some shade of grey in the background. If you get closer you notice different colors and maybe shapes, up close you notice every dot is slightly different.

I think your message comes across rather well here. When I looked at it I felt a little anxious, and I've decided it's because the scene looks a little empty, unnatural, or awkward. Which fits with the whole loss of ability to communicate thing.
